Gary Palmer

"Gary has been innovative, enthusiastic and totally involved in what he is doing. He has been well received by all members of the Australian team and we would utilise his services whereever possible in the future"
Steve Waugh, Australian cricket captain 2001

"I have recently had my first experience of working with Gary at his academy. The first thing that struck me was his boundless enthusiasm and energy. This naturally rubs off on the boys and results in their willingness to work at their games for 6 hours a day, which is no mean feat considering that some of the boys are just 9! The result of this tireless approach to improving technique is plain to see. Some of the boys are probably some of the best cricketers for their age in the country. Hour after hour of honing technique, firstly with tennis balls and then more challengingly on a bowling machine; the boys couldn’t get enough due to the enthusiasm and variety Gary gives them.

It was a pleasure to have worked with Gary . I really enjoyed discussing and debating certain aspects of batting technique, a subject close to my heart, and loved the fact that he has very strong views on it that may fly in the face of convention. Very refreshing.

I am quite sure that it will not be too long before we see a test cricketer coming out of his academy."
Alan Wells - England, Kent & Sussex

"Having worked with Gary on a numerous occasions, I have learnt a tremendous amount about batting. He has not only shown me drills that are required to rectify batting faults but drills to extend a batsmen to improving their game. It is such a shame that I didn't have Gary as a coach when I was at the top of my game and still playing first class cricket as I'm sure I would have scored a lot more runs"
Richard Illingworth, Worcestershire and England
